about

This song was written right after the global pandemic shut down the country. I was sitting on a mountain with Joe and began thinking about how birds spend most of their time in the air, and thought about how maybe they do that because it gets them out of dealing with human problems. Maybe it's better. And maybe the peace I feel on top of the mountain comes to me because I feel high above the rest of my life, my emotional struggles and everyday life problems. I thought about how the pandemic forced us to slow down and appreciate the nature around us. NYC, the city that never sleeps, was completely shut down. Maybe it was meant to send us a sign that we aren't living right, living in such a fast paced way. Hope this song inspires some thought.
